((ooc: Continued from "Meet your Teacher.... Baran and other Riders--feel free to join!)) Tiara Jade led the way into the training grounds, partly because she was the teacher of the two Riders who followed her, and mostly because she liked to lead. "Hmm," she said. "I'd expected there to be an actual armory around here, somewhere." Though they'd looked around, the only armory the old Rider's castle had to boost of was filled with centuries old rusted-out weapons. The training grounds, at least, had ranks of beautifully polished weapons of all makes and sizes. It looked like Taro had gotten something right. But the weapons simply didn't have that personal flair that Tiara Jade was looking for. "Oh, well. Perhaps there's a field trip to a Master Blacksmith in our future. For now..." She selected a sword from one of the racks, a relatively long, slender one. She liked range, but she didn't want the weight that a broadsword would bring: this scrawny one would do. It was clear to see, from the way she held it, that she was unfamiliar with the weapon. "...These'll do. Geuloth du knífr," she said, running her hand along the blade's edge. "You two--get yourselves a weapon, and work that spell on it. It should dull your blade so that we don't chop of each other's limbs, or some other nonsense. If you can't make it work, I'll do it for you." At the back of her mind, in the place where Queen's voice had lived for the past few months, a gathering silence reigned. She had thought it might be peaceful. Instead, it was merely... unsettling. "Well?" She snapped. "What are you waiting for? Show us how to use these things, Courtney!"

Later, we have to get a pink sword said Spike. But- started Nicholas, but was interrupted by Spike. It's a tradition that the riders sword matches the dragons scale color. said spike Oh, well thought Nicholas. He thought for sure that once Spike was old enough to fly, he was done with pink for good. Not anymore. "Geuloth du knifr!" shouted Nicholas. Pink surrounded the sword. It started to dull. Nicholas fell to the ground the second the spell finished. Do not worry. squeaked Spike. He'll get back up soon. I'll show him what Courtney did if he sleeps through it.

Courtney always had her sword with her. She had her in the sword belt. She made both the sword and the sword so that it would fit her hands and how she handle the sword. It fit well with her. She took out her sword. "Geuloth du knífr." With Amphora's help with the spell Courtney didn't felt as tired as she did when she tried to make the flame appear. She put the sword in front of her just a little right.
"First off. Do you both know how to put the sword in a defense position?" That's a good place to start Courtney. That's what my dad taught me first. But with me, he use sticks with me at first til I got use to the stick and manage to break. Than we use dull swords. Swords that been use by people of Teirm that was given back to my dad.

Courtney looked off at Spike and Nicholas. Nicholas was on the ground. It was apparent to see that he never tried magic before now. He well get up sooner or later. Courtney wasn't sure when he will get up. When Courtney did magic she almost past out. She never that the defense is for starter. Than when it you get good you have come naturally. Amphora swish her tail.
Well Spike, The defense position is for beginners. Simply to help them later when they do battle with their enemies. When you are doing a battle with an enemies your Defense sense will just turn on. But for people who never held a sword, Well, You have to grasp the hilt with both hands. The hand you use to write is the normal that is under the other,

So Nicholas would use his..... right hand would be under his left...... Is their anything else? spike asked after sending the information to Nicholas. It was hard, since Spike had to push this information through one of Nicholas' dreams. This one was about Eragon/Saphira and Murtagh's/Thorn's famous duel on the Burning Plains. So far, Thorn decided he was gonna try to eat Nicholas. Just as Thorn was gonna sink his teeth into Nicholas' back when Spike sent the information in and got out of Nicholas' mind.

Amphora was looking at the young dragon. Once again, Amphora swish her tail. Whenever Courtney ever had a sword in her hands or using it. Amphora will swish her tail for some reason. Courtney never bother to ask Amphora why she did that. The reason why she didn't ask was because it never bother Courtney. Courtney didn't mind if she did it.
Than you have to hold it up like what I am doing. Depend if he is right handed or left he would have his defense on the side he writes. So that it would be easier to start with. Than he will have to learn to defend the rest of the areas.

Okay, I'm gonna try to wake Nicholas up. said Spike. He dug into Nicholas' mind, and had to go through another dream. This time it was the Duel between Eragon and Galbatorix. He was about to see who would win. And, the winner was- Spike just woke him up. "W-w-what!?" He stammered. He just realized what happened. And, for reasons unknown to him, he had somehow learned what Courtney and Amphora was teaching while he was asleep. "S-sorry. Please continue."

"Spike had put what I taught to you. Besides you past out because of the magic you did. I almost past out earlier. We both to work out the magic. Try to pout the sword like I taught."
She couldn't blame him for passing out when he did the magic. She knows that she needed to work on her magic. Amphora has just swish her tail again. She also knows that she could be blowing too hard when they start the sword play. There are two reasons why she blows hard. For the first is that she was taught to give hard blows. The second is that her father is a blacksmith, She will have the blacksmith strength and the hands of a blacksmith.

Nicholas was in a defensive position. He had His right hand below his left. It felt comfortable. He waited for Courtney to strike first, so he would know how to best protect himself.

Courtney waited til he was in a defense position, She swing her sword closest to where the sword is. She didn't need to go hard on him yet. There was no point to do that. Besides she had to make sure not give her usual hard and heavy blows. She could control that. She never bother to do control her heavy blows when she was practicing with her father. She still made sure that it's hard to tell where she was going to go.

He tried to block it, but it did not work. It hit him, but it did not hurt as bad as the axe did. It was only like someone threw a medium sized book at his stomach. He tryied to deliver the next blow, swinging at Courtney's sword.

Tiara Jade gave a mental snicker when Nicholas passed out. She reached down to check his pulse quickly, of course, but really... one simple spell, and the boy was down? Heh. The lack of a biting quip at the boy's expense filled her mind like a tangible force. Queen was well and truly out of range. For the first time, Tiara Jade wondered what would happen if the little hatchling failed--truly failed. Would she simply drop dead in the middle of teaching a lesson? Would the Riders ever find out what had happened? Or would she lose her mind, like Galbatorix? Useless thoughts. Tiara Jade didn't need them. She shoved them to the side, and tried to imitate the defensive pose that Courtney had modeled, keeping one eye on the little spar that the young woman and Nicholas had begun. "Whenever you're not busy, could you tell me--does this look about right?" The sword felt heavy and awkward in her grip. Not at all like her sleek little dagger, or her light, powdery poisons. ((ooc: I'm sorry, but would you two mind slowing down just a bit? I can't keep up! ))

((OOC: Sorry, I'll slow it down a bit)) Your writing hand needs to be holding the bottom of the sword spike suggested. And where is queen? Did she attack the giant fish again?

((ooc: Thank you, Nicholas. I'll try to get on more! I don't mean to slow down the fun.)) Tiara Jade looked down at the tiny dragon levelly. Finally, with a little quirk of one eyebrow, she switched her grip to what the hatchling had suggested. Indeed; it did feel better. Queen is off doing something, she replied irately; And I dare say she'll be back at some point. She sighed, and concentrated, so that only the little dragon could hear her next words: If you must know, we fought. Yet again. We agreed... that taking a break from each other might be wise.It was very close to the truth. It merely glazed over their other agreement--that Queen go to the Phantom Drakes, and report back when she'd decided whether she would fit in better with the group of evil repute. If she did... well, Tiara Jade would cross that river when she came to it. For now... heh. For now, she simply had to cover for her missing dragon. It was hardly a secret that their relationship was not quite like what other Riders and dragons seemed to share. But frankly, Tiara Jade would have it no other way. And the point of only telling Spike her believable little lie? It made it seem more like a shameful little secret, and less like a rumor she was trying to spread. If the hatchling was anything like human children, it wouldn't be long before everyone knew what he'd just heard.
